So, for those still looking for all the recipes, take the fish crate until you get broiled bloodfin and skullfish soup recipes. So all that time I spent taking the crate of meat because it had slightly higher chance of dropping the recipe, I removed any chance of getting the other two. But then I found out that there are two more recipes needed for the Outland cooking that only drop from the crate of fish. To update: I finally got the recipe in the Dal spice bag. and an other 50 or so rewards that are now useless! and still no drop for the cake recipe. I have been doing the Dal and Shatt dailies for so long that i have all the Dal recipes bought and the hat.

I'll post an update when I get the cake recipe. Also, the skullfish and bloodfin recipes are the only two recipes not available from the crates of meat, so I wasn't missing out on anything after that by choosing the crates (except the rare chance of getting a vendorfish).
But then after I got the recipes for Skullfish Soup and Broiled Bloodfin I started choosing the Crates of Meat because those crates hold meat that you need for three out of the four cooking quests which could save you time grinding or money at the AH. I started off choosing the the Barrels of Fish because there's a chance of getting a Goldenscale Vendorfish which is worth 6G when sold to a vendor. I've tried my luck with both the Crate of Meat and the Barrel of Fish rewards.doesn't seem to make a difference. I've gotten every other new 2.3 recipe, but no cake. I figure I've done the cooking quests probably 20 - 25 times. I've been doing the daily cooking quests since the first day 2.3 came out, and as of 12/11/07 have still not gotten this recipe.
